How to Get Scheduled for Shifts

In order to be scheduled for shifts, you first need to apply to upcoming shifts that meet your criteria.

Once in the NurseDash app, tap the Shifts icon in the bottom left corner. Once you find a shift you like, tap on the shift and scroll to the bottom of the screen to apply.

For shifts with the Instant Confirmation label: You are confirmed the moment you apply — no further action needed. You'll receive an in-app notification confirming your spot right away.

For all other shifts: If the facility selects you, you will receive a notification letting you know. Once selected, be sure to confirm the shift as soon as possible — the facility can unselect you if you don't confirm in a timely manner.

Protecting Your Schedule and Score

Once you are confirmed for a shift block, you are expected to fulfill that professional commitment. Withdrawals should strictly be reserved for unavoidable emergencies. If you realize you cannot honor a confirmed assignment, please withdraw inside the app as early as possible to minimize negative impacts on your professional Reliability Score.
