In an effort to bring transparency to our platform and do everything we can to keep you safe during these unprecedented times, we are checking in with our communities on a regular basis to get status updates on their active COVID patient status.

Most COVID Shifts will have the indication either in their description and/or on the Unit name, this means that the rate reflected already takes this into account.

Some facilities may be COVID-free when you apply and then change status. There are facilities that already hold this possibility in the description and disclose that you may work in either unit so please make sure you read carefully before accepting shifts and be prepared to be placed in either unit.

Here's an example of how they look:

They can also look like this:

However, things can change very quickly and more so in Healthcare facilities, especially when it comes to ER and ICU so please know that if you are taking a shift in these locations there is a chance that they may have COVID patients somewhere in their building or campus, so be prepared to work with them

If you have confirmed a shift at a location that had no indication of active COVID patients and you are being asked to work them, please stay at the location and reach out to us via our LiveChat or 24/7 Hotline so we can confirm the status with them.

We may be able to have them reassign you to another unit or upgrade the rate so you can receive hazard pay. Please note that if the facility doesn’t have you work with the patients, hazard pay may not apply.

In the event that you don’t feel comfortable working at facilities that have COVID units AND this wasn’t disclosed on the shift, you will be able to leave once you’ve reported it to the NurseDash team.

Please be aware that, you will only receive cancellation pay if the facility or community is not able to offer you a reassignment to work with non-covid patients. If a reassignment is offered and you still choose to leave, you won’t be eligible for cancellation pay.
