At NurseDash we have been working to ensure that the clinicians on our platform have as many shift opportunities as possible and have been carrying this out since the pandemic first broke out.
We understand that many people for ideological and medical reasons may not be able to get vaccinated for COVID-19. For this reason, we have added some features to our partnered facility's portals to provide them the ability to choose if they require applicants to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Recently we also have added a feature so they can opt to accept Medical and/or Religious exemptions.
If you are unvaccinated and would like access to these shifts please be sure to submit your exemption to us at profile@nursedash.com so it can be loaded to your profile.
For your exemption to be admitted to the ND Platform please ensure that it follows one of the below formats:
Requirements for Exemptions:
Medical Exemptions
Must contain your Full Name
Must contain the Date the exemption was provided
Must contain doctor's information and signature
Should contain letterhead or contact information for the clinic/hospital providing the exemption.
The note must detail that the vaccination that is being advised against, in this case, vaccines for COVID-19.
Detail the particular medical reason for which you are advised against being vaccinated with the COVID-19 shot.
In the event it's a temporary condition provide a timeframe at which time you will be able to get vaccinated.
IE: You recently had COVID and need to wait 30 days to be vaccinated (The exemption will expire 2 weeks after the date of temporary exemption to allow you time to be vaccinated)
Religious Exemptions
Must contain the letterhead of the Religious Organization they belong to with the name of the religious organization.
Phone number, email, website, or other contact information
Address where the religious organization is located
Contain the FULL Name of the person seeking the religious exemption
Signature or pastor or spiritual leader
The note must detail that the vaccination that is being advised against, in this case, vaccines for COVID-19.
If possible date exemption was provided but not required.
Please note that even if your exemption meets all these requirements that have been outlined by most of our facilities. At the end of the day, it's the facility's choice who they choose for their shifts. We, as a job market cannot make this choice for them - each facility may toggle on/off their requirements as they see fit.
